Dr. Stella Aguinaga Bialous
RN, DrPH, Senior Consultant, Tobacco Policy International
Dr. Bialous has collaborated with Dr. Sarna in the TobaccoFreeNurses initiative, the development of the TFN website, "Helping Smokers Quit: A Guide for Nurses” and other media materials. She also worked with Dr. Sarna in the Nursing and Tobacco Control Leadership project and the Nursing and Tobacco Cessation Research conference in May 2005. Dr. Bialous is one of the reviewers of the upcoming new edition of the Public Health Services’ tobacco dependence treatment clinical guideline. Dr. Bialous collaborated in the development of the tobacco control position statement of the American Nurses Association, the Oncology Nursing Society, among other nursing groups Additionally, Dr. Bialous is a tobacco control policy senior consultant for the Tobacco Free Initiative of the World Health Organization. Dr. Bialous will assist Dr. Sarna in delivering the educational program and providing consultation for the scientific component of the Helping Smokers Quit Project.
